San Jose Betsuin Choir

The San Jose Betsuin Choir has a long and proud history. Under the direction of Michael Yoshihara, our group is made up of a wide range of people of all ages who share a love of music. The choir performs at several events and services throughout the year and has collaborated with other musical groups such as the Chidori Band and San Jose Taiko. Singing Buddhist gathas, Japanese cultural songs, and other selections with a Buddhist message, we entertain the Sangha and broader audiences. Normally, we meet in the San Jose Buddhist Temple for rehearsal on Tuesday evenings at 7pm. No musical training is required. There are no auditions – only a love of music, friendship, relaxation, and fun.

Our Nikkei Matsuri Connection
